In response to this need, the Simple Ways Foundation in Sopot has organized a series of psychological workshops dedicated to young participants. The purpose of these workshops is not only to develop interpersonal skills, but also to create a space where children can discover themselves and build trust in a group.

1. getting to know and building the Team

The first step in the workshop process is to create an atmosphere of trust and safety. Through integration games and communication exercises, children have the opportunity to get acquainted and establish relationships with their peers. Through joint games and conversations about expectations, each participant has a chance to express his or her concerns and create rules for cooperation, which promotes group integration.

2 Our Emotions

In the next stage, participants focus on recognizing and expressing emotions. Through exercises that identify different emotional states, children learn how their feelings affect everyday decisions and behavior. Working with facial expressions and the body allows for a better understanding of the meaning of emotions and learning to accept one’s feelings, which is crucial in the process of healthy emotional development.

3 Personal Boundaries and Respect

An important aspect of the workshop is education about personal boundaries. Through exercises and situational scenes, children learn to recognize and respect the boundaries of others. Conversations about expressing and protecting their boundaries help build healthy relationships and respect for themselves and others.

4. friendship

The workshop could not do without the issue of friendship. Participants learn what builds friendship 24 hours a day and what qualities are important in interpersonal relationships. Through exercises on building trust and analyzing friendship situations, children learn empathy, as well as how to solve problems in relationships.

5. conflicts

In the context of conflicts, the goal is to learn how to resolve them constructively. During the workshop, children learn about the sources of conflicts and how to resolve them. Role-playing in simulated conflict situations enables them to practice mediation and compromise, which is extremely valuable in everyday life.

6 Our Fears

The workshop also addresses the topic of fears. Participants have a chance to understand their fears and discover ways to cope with them. Exercises with metaphors and visualization offer tools for taming fears, and make it easier for children to share their thoughts and feelings in a safe environment.

7 Anger – Benefits and Harms

Another important emotional issue is anger. The workshop teaches children how to recognize the causes of this emotion and how to express it in a constructive way. Through exercises on self-regulation, participants learn how anger can be both harmful and useful in the right circumstances.

8. self-assessment

Finally, participants work on building positive self-esteem. By discovering their strengths and accepting their weaknesses, children learn self-worth and the importance of positive thinking, which translates into their overall well-being and approach to life.

Conclusion and Summary

Psychological workshops organized by the Simple Ways Foundation in Sopot end with a summary of the skills and experiences gained. Participants have the opportunity to share their impressions and reflections. The whole thing closes with thanking the children for their involvement and cooperation, which further strengthens group relations and allows to draw conclusions from the entire series of workshops.
In conclusion, the organization of psychological workshops for children is an excellent way to support their emotional development, social integration and building interpersonal skills that will be invaluable in their future life. The Simple Ways Foundation in Sopot focuses on the quality and effectiveness of its activities, thus contributing to improving the quality of life of the younger generation.

In recent years, there has been a growing awareness of the need for psychological support for children and the development of their emotional skills alongside their intellectual ones.
